Popular Mechanics vs Loose Change
Conspiracy knuckleheads Dylan Avery and Jason Bermas made "Loose Change," a home-made documentary that purported to prove that the World Trade Center was brought down by controlled demolition, not jumbo jets, on Sep 11, and that no jet hit the Pentagon. James Meigs and David Dunbar, editors of Popular Mechanics, wrote a rebuttal of the goofy conspiracy theories in a book, "Debunking 9/11 Myths."
On September 11, 2006, the Loose Change kids met the Popular Mechanics men on "Democracy Now! the War and Peace Report", to debate. It wasn't even close. The Popular Mechanics guys calmly smacked down the conspiracy nuts with facts and logic. The Loose Change sophomores countered with bad attitudes and by calling everyone a liar who disagreed with them. It's wonderfully painful to watch.

David Ray Griffin is a retired professor of philosophy of religion and theology, which is to say, a proponent of the supernatural. Reading his articles on 9/11 is very unimpressive. For example, his assertion that the force of gravity pulling the towers down could not have compressed air to blow sideways out of the buildings is just plain hammer-headed stupid.
Radical lefty Alexander Cockburn rebuts the conspiracy nuts, arguing that conspiracism springs from political infantilism, in his article, "US: the conspiracy that wasn’t":

The tin-foil hat wearers expect us to believe some idiotic theory that the LIVE FILMS of the planes crashing into the towers were a superimposed hoax by the Government, and there were pre-positioned explosives in the towers which were set off by CIA remote control? What a bunch of asshats. My god, it's bad enough we have to contend with the al Qaeda. Now, we have to put up with conspiracy nutroots. Zawahiri must be laughing his ass off.

This article from a division of Haliburton starts out calling truth seekers "conspiracy knuckelheads" and goes on to call them "nuts" with"bad attitudes" who were "smacked down".
The article is hurling labels and rude names at one side of the debate while simultaneously criticizing them for name calling (stating someone was not telling the truth/"liar".
Anyone who has not sold out without checking the facts knows popular mechanics magazine was taken over in a coup just before publishing the venomous LIES concerning 911 and becoming the government coverup bulldog that attacks anyone with reasonable questions.
We are told to wave the flag and believed what we are told even if it is impossible to be true. Anyone who asks questions and rejects the false answer is labeled in a highly derogatory immature manner and condemned. The authors of this article have obviously been exposed to too much dumbing down and violence on TV. They think they are watching an ultimate fighting contest and they want to see someone "smacked down". This is not the kind of objective mentality that is capable of hearing a sound argument and coming to a logical conclusion without blinding bias and deafening malice.
The powers that created the 911 illusion are the same entities that have systematically turned society into a spoon fed ignorant attack dog. The never ending stream of misinformation and pinhole war cheerleading bile that eminates from the conglomerate networks has served its intended pupouse as much of the public is now incapable of exercising objectivity and hopelessly addicted to mindless hatred and violence as the only means of dealing with an opinion contrary to what they are told. For the vast majority of loyal followers of the propaganda torrent dependent thought is no longer an option.
When you know who the cousin of the johnny come lately editor of popular mechanics is you will know what to expect from the rag. Popular mechanics, a once respectable magazine that brought intelligence and innovation into our homes is now just another tool of the wicked.
Anonymous, you're the kind of arm-waving pinhead we've come to expect from the Truthers.
A brutal purge of the senior staff at Popular Mechanics preceded the publication of last month's scandalous propaganda piece about 9/11. Pulling the strings is the grand dame of Hearst Magazines and behind the scene is her obscure husband a veteran propaganda expert and former special assistant to the director of the C.I.A.
The magazine pushing the government's 9/11 propaganda, Popular Mechanics (PM), is published by the Hearst family. Its March cover story, Debunking 9/11 Lies, has been exposed by credible researchers to contain numerous distortions and flawed conclusions. American Free Press revealed that Benjamin Chertoff, the 25-year-old senior researcher who authored the 9/11 article, is related to Michael Chertoff, the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
While Chertoff is the czar of DHS, he is not sovereign at PM or Hearst Magazines, its corporate parent. The president of Hearst Magazines, one of the world's largest publishers of monthly magazines with 18 U.S. titles and more than 100 international editions, is Cathleen P. Black, a 60-year old native of Chicago. Black oversees the publication of 175 titles around the world.
Black is a former president and publisher of USA Today. In 1983, Black was made president of the new newspaper published by Gannett. The following year she was made publisher and soon became a member of Gannetts board of directors.
Black left USA Today to become president and chief executive of the nascent Newspaper Association of America (NAA), formed on June 1, 1992. She then became the leading spokesperson and lobbyist for the nation's newspaper industry. Black's position at the NAA carried "considerable political heft," Paul Farhi of The Washington Post wrote, "given that the 1,400 members of her organization control the nations editorial pages.
It is often said that USA Today is controlled by the CIA, which, like the paper, is based in McLean, Virginia. The little-known fact that Black is married to Thomas E. Harvey, an obscure lawyer who became a White House Fellow in 1977 and served as special assistant to the Director of Central Intelligence (DCI), provides substance to these rumors. Black's corporate biography does not mention her husband.
Prior to serving the CIA, Harvey worked at the New York law office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. The international law firm, co-founded by Morris Hadley, a 1916 member of Yale University's secret society Skull & Bones, has ties to the CIA and lists William H. Webster, DCI from 1987-1991, as a senior partner. Webster also serves on the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
In the 1980s, Harvey served as General Counsel and Congressional Liaison of the U.S. Information Agency, the former external propaganda arm of the U.S. government.
THE COUP AT POPULAR MECHANICS
In the months leading up to the Chertoff article in PM, a brutal take-over occurred at the magazine. In September 2004, Joe Oldham, the magazines former editor-in-chief was replaced by James B. Meigs, who came to PM with a deputy, Jerry Beilinson, from National Geographic Adventure. In October, a new creative director replaced PMs 21-year veteran who was given ninety minutes to clear out of his office.
A former senior editor at PM, who is forbidden from openly discussing the coup at PM, told AFP that the former creative director was abruptly told to leave and given severance pay of two weeks wages for every year spent at PM. Three or four people have been similarly dismissed every month since, he said. He said he was astounded that the coup at PM had not been reported in the mainstream media.
PM has long been a supporter of the U.S. military. The magazine ran a full page ad in support of the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in May 2003. Since the purge last September, however, PM readers have noticed that government propaganda has replaced scientific writing. A letter to the editor in the current issue says, I think you guys are just another tool in the governments propaganda machine.
More name calling from those whom claim to maintain a valid argument. There is a word in the dictionary for those who criticise others for act(s) they themselves commit. It is a hypocrite.
This is not a ball game or war it is a scientific argument. Presenting yourself as macho and hateful does not forward your opinion. There is no scoreboard. You cannot bomb and murder those whom disagree with you. You have no valid argument only hate.
Anonymous,
Even if any of your nonsense was true, and it's not worth checking out, it would make no difference. It's just an ad hominem argument against a source which has decisively refuted your Truther nonsense.
An argument is true or false based on its own merits, regardless of its source. Something is true if it is true, regardless of who says it. It doesn't matter if the editors of Popular Mechanics are angels or devils or something between. Their logic in debunking Truther nonsense is sound.
Therefore, you remain an arm-waving pinhead.
James Meigs and David Dunbar are hired pawns installed into a once respectable publication to help shovel the horse manure. The result is the permanent disgrace and defamation of the magazine which will ow be regarded as toilet paper. To say these patsies have added anything decisive to the debate is like hiring weird ad yankavich to parody a song then saying he perfected it. All these lemmings have done is regurgitate the same old obvious lies and disinformatikn with fresh ties and designer glasses on.
No matter how many are brainwashed to think this is a smack down contest and how many bloggers are hired to attack honest questions from inelligent people online the facts will remain that the official narrative on what happened is untrue and a systematic coverup has ensued not only to keep the truth hidden from the public but to condemn anyone who has the courage to point out what does not make any sense. Those without any substance in their malicious verbal attacks will hurl bile (such as the heckler here) because their only hope is to smokescreen logical inquest.
Seriously, they knew the plane that supposedly hit the pentagon was coming for how long and not one photograph or film exists to this day showing it? Not one fighter intercepted? No one was in charge? Bush was in a grade school and rumsfield was running around the pentagon lawn? Building 7 is made of steel and suddenly free falls from fire that is dying down? This his never happened in the history of the world and cannot be simulated. The entire event was whitewashed by a bias commision of insiders but anyone who questions it is relentlessly attacked by foul mouth thugs. What are you trying to hide?
More ad hominem attacks but no reasoned arguments about their debunking of the idiotic Truther conspiracy theories. No matter how many times you repeat the inane arguments of the Truthers, they remaine inane. Mary, you are a pinhead who is unable to process rational thought.
Listen to how many times in a row the heckler responds to anyone not agreeing with the nasty article with the identical phrase "ad hominem" and the insult "pinhead". Notice also how the heckler responds within seconds at any given time or day.
Its hard to distinguish if this your typical hired propaganda troll or if it is just another fox news zombie stuck on stupid. Either way please stop posting the identical spam it is neither informative nor interesting only hopelessly predictable and demonstrates your lack of ability to form innovative thought. Maybe the attack dog choke collar you are wearing it too tight? You are a good obedient dog to do as you are told however you honestly need some fresh air.
According to the heckler the case is closed no matter what because the hired propagandists recently installed in a coup at popular mechanics have crisp white shirts and say so. That is exactly what someone who was truly hiding something big and ugly would want is an end to any questions.
In time the truths will be revealed that 911 was and is a sickening inhuman false flag operation then all the attack dogs will suddenly disappear back into their dog houses where they belong.
Mary Love, you're an idiot Truther. The whole Truther message is stupid from front to back. That means that you are stupid for believing it. You can hardly get through a sentence a Truther says without some false assumption, erroneous fact, or leap of logic. Part of your idiocy is to think anyone is looking at this blog years after I stopped writing to it. Every time somebody posts a comment, I get an email. That's why I know when you post something stupid, you jackass. There is no government plot, shit for brains. There is no false flag op except in your lunatic brain. Get lost!
Isn’t this the real pro government propaganda site?
