Another chant on the march:

"Shame, shame, shame, shame,
US dollar is to blame."

Again, anybody or anything but Hezbollah. It was those evil American dollars, the ones we just picked up at the ATM, that shot those Katyushas into Israel.

The whole protest swirled together a crazy mix of themes that supported Islam and socialism but denounced Israel and America and Bush and capitalism and corporations. In fact, every now and then an Arab American would say during a speech that he loved America only to immediately launch into a diatribe against it.
