Flight 93 Memorial Project

The Flight 93 Memorial Project, meant to honor the flight of passengers who fought the skyjackers of September 11 into the ground of Pennsylvania, has settled on a design called the "Crescent of Embrace" by Paul Murdoch Architects. This design looks uncomfortably like the symbol of Islam, the religion which the Muslim terrorists sought to propagate through this horrific slaughter.

Well, it could be a coincidence, as some people say. Others say we right-wingers are just indulging a knee-jerk revulsion to diverse cultures. Others say we see Muslim symbolism in the clouds.

While the shape of the United Flight 93 memorial may or may not be interpreted as a Muslim crescent by we Americans, it certainly will be interpreted as such by the radical Muslims who wish us dead. They will see this "Crescent of Embrace" as a concession to their bloody beliefs by weak-willed Americans and a monument to their glorious victory on September 11. We must never encourage these enemies of America, not even by ambiguity, but rather should signal with every public action our dedication to their complete destruction.

Tear up this "Crescent of Embrace" and go back to the drawing board.
